Rebekah and Mark’s wedding in beautiful Pennsylvania and wedding portraits at Valley Forge made this day so perfect!! I’ve been waiting for this day to get here even before they were engaged (no joke!!)!! I first got to know Rebekah when I had the honor of photographing her sister Julia’s wedding last summer! She was always at her sister’s side, helping wherever she could. I could immediately tell that just like her sister, she was one of the sweetest girls out there! While at the wedding, I asked about her and Mark since I could tell things were pretty serious! She sweetly asked me if I traveled since they knew they’d be getting married in PA to which I replied a big YES!! She got engaged shortly after and I was SO excited for them!!
And then I still remember being on our family’s beach trip when she reached out last summer asking about booking me as her photographer for their wedding!! I was SO excited!!! I scratched the whole “not answering emails on vacation motto” for her because I just couldn’t wait to have her as a bride! It’s always so special working with families more than once since everyone already feels like a good friend- especially Rebekah’s family!
I got to know her and Mark even better at their engagement session, and I could tell just how sweet these two were and how ready they were to be husband and wife! I had already known how kind and caring Rebekah was, but her and Mark are an incredible team. It’s clear that they constantly give to others! Even wedding morning I had to tell Rebekah she needed to sit back and let others do the work of putting stuff away, moving furniture around, etc- but it’s clear she just can’t stop helping others wherever she can! Do I have the kindest couples or what??
We headed to Valley Forge for the SWEETEST first look and then portraits, and friends… I’m beyond thankful they did a first look! This SAME story has happened earlier this year! We finished ALL the portraits right when it started drizzling. We quickly got Rebekah back into a vehicle right when we finished, and even though it rained through the ceremony (it was indoors!), we had NO worries or stress about what the weather did at that point since we already had a LOT of portraits! Thankfully it cleared up later for some just-married portraits, but I have to say that their pictures at Valley Forge are some of my all time favorite portraits!!
All that to say I’m sharing a LOT of favorites from this beautiful day, but you can’t blame me! I’m beyond thrilled to share Mr. & Mrs. McDavid’s wedding day, and wish this sweet couple the best in their marriage together! I love you both so much!
