Kellen and Hannah both grew up in Charleston and are getting married there next year, so having their engagement session in downtown Charleston was a must!!
They’ve been together since high school! They were in the same architecture class, and Kellen saw Hannah and how cute she was, and would do typical high school boy stuff to get her attention (like folding her backpack inside out!)! It worked! They’ve been inseparable since their high school days, and can’t wait to finally say “I do” at Boone Hall Plantation!
But what makes me more excited is getting to know this sweet couple. They make us feel like instant friends with the way they talked with and asked about Edward and I, and they NEVER stop smiling!! It’s truly a gift to have gotten to know this sweet couple better, and to be apart of their wedding day and the journey there!!
We met them in the middle of Battery Park in downtown Charleston, and they flowed through their session so gracefully! (I mean… wait until you see Hannah’s dress!!!) We walked along the sidewalk with beautiful historic Charleston homes, and made a stop in front of the house Hannah’s dad grew up in!! How cool is that?? Then after an outfit change, we headed to a gorgeous corner with cobblestone streets and a beautiful overlook to the ocean. Literally a DREAM session!!
I had a LOT of favorites from this evening with Hannah and Kellen! But this session is also a favorite also becuase it fills my heart getting to capture the pure joy these two clearly have!!
Enjoy this beautiful session with an even more beautiful couple- inside and out!!
This was one of the first photos we took… I mean… model status!!!! THAT DRESS!!! And thanks to sweet Edward for shaking that tree hard!! Can you have a session in Battery Park and NOT stop here?? No joke… Edward and I have big plans to paint our door this same blue when we move in! And this was when we stopped in front of the house Hannah’s dad grew up in! I mean, what a house!!!! They loved cobblestone streets as much as I did, so this spot was a MUST! One thing I LOVE about Charleston, are the locations you can stumble upon. I had plans to end at a different spot, but this was too gorgeous to pass up and ended up being even better than the original plan! And a sailboat went by at JUST the right time! How cute and preppy is that?? Seriously, they could be models.
I adore these two (if you couldn’t tell!!)! And I already can’t wait for them to be on the blog again next summer!
If you loved this session, you might also love Jacqueline & Jordan’s downtown Charleston engagement session!
