Marisa and Trevor’s southern wedding in LaGrange, Georgia was absolutely perfect! They met while both in New York when Marisa was studying dance at the Joffrey Ballet School, and Trevor was at West Point! They went out on a date, and it took an hour to finally order their food becuase they were SO wrapped up in conversation! And it didn’t stop there. A little over three years later, they got to vow their lives and love to each other in front of the family who had traveled from all over, and their close friends!
They exited the chapel through a sword salute!! How amazing is that?? We then headed to their beautiful reception space where we got to do more portraits before something VERY special happened that I’ve never gotten to photograph before!
They did a surprise choreographed dance as their first dance! What started off as gentle swaying quickly turned into some AMAZING moves they both made look so easy- lots of lifts, spins (and many more things I don’t know the name to haha!)! But they KILLED it and had everyone gasping out of surprise and awe! AND It didn’t stop there! They had surprised everyone with more choreographed dances as the father-daughter dance and the mother-son dances! Needless to say, it was an amazing reception and Marisa got to do what she loved and had studied for years- dance! But this time she got to dance the evening away with her HUSBAND!
As they walked around chatting and hugging friends and family, it’s so clear just how kind this couple is. Marisa doesn’t let anyone go unnoticed or feel out of place. She chatted with me for a few minutes before I left and said some of the kindest, most encouraging words to me. And that was a time when I walked up ready to thank HER for being so amazing! Trevor and Marisa are the perfect team, and I know they’re excited for the journey through life together!
