Mary Grace & Griffin | Columbia, SC Engagement Session

I’ve spent more time driving in the past week than probably any other week so far this year! And I’m not complaining!!! This means I’ve gotten to photograph some AMAZING couples around the south, and it brings me so. much. joy. It’s a season where a lot of coffee and naps are involved, but I have to admit I love staying busy. (Also, I’ve discovered how much I love audiobooks!! They make the drives alone WAY better!!)

So one of these trips was to Columbia for Mary Grace and Griffin’s engagement session!! Mary Grace went to school here at USC, and we even went to the exact spot Griffin asked her to marry him!! Not only that, but Mary Grace’s parents got engaged just a little ways away from where Griffin proposed!! So it made sense to start the session at USC!

After spending time there, we hopped over to Columbia Canal and Riverfront Park! It was so gorgeous, and WE ACTUALLY HAD A SUNSET! If you’ve been looking out your window the past few weeks, you understand how amazing that is after weeks of on and off rain!! But our beautiful southern sunset didn’t hold back for these two, and we ended the session under some dreamy Spanish Moss with the sunset!

I’m SO excited for Mary Grace and Griffin’s wedding this November!! They’re just SO sweet, laid-back, and so happy together. They’d sway back and forth giggling in the poses (a photographer’s dream ;)) and are such an amazing, incredibly kind couple!
