Kristy & Vic | Lifestyle Anniversary Session | Christa Rene Photography

One of the biggest questions I received after getting engaged was “Who is your photographer?” And this was a BIG decision for me!! I wanted someone that not only had beautiful work, but I knew Edward and I would feel so comfortable with! So let me share a little about Kristy and Vic. Over a year ago, I had a photography question that was actually really small but really bugging me that I couldn’t figure out. I reached out to Kristy and Vic, and they Skyped me that evening to be sure I had my answer. But they also asked how I was doing, about my life, and more. They immediately felt like friends. They just had this genuine kindness. I got to have lunch with them another day they were headed through Greenville, and again, they asked how I was, how my boyfriend Edward was doing, and were just so fun and comfortable to be around! Again, just absolutely genuinely kind people!

So Edward and I were looking at photographers, and I reached out to them! They got back to me literally within minutes, and we set up a Skype time! I loved them, but it was REALLY important to me that Edward loved them too and felt comfortable. He’s always been a trouper about the things dating and getting engaged to a photographer entail (like SO many photo shoots- both shooting them AND being in them since most of my friends are photographers, listening to me talk about it endlessly, etc.!). So after we Skyped them, he let me know that he not only liked them but was EXCITED about them being our photographers! So that sealed the deal for me!!

But their kindness didn’t stop there. Kristy and Vic are based out of Florida, which meant someone was going to have to travel for engagement photos! I can’t tell my brides enough how important it is to have your engagement session with your wedding photographer, so it was really important for me that we got to have ours with Kristy and Vic! After chatting with them, Edward and I decided to make a little vacation out of it and fly down to Florida for it. Kristy and Vic jumped right in and said they had two guest rooms for us to stay in so there was no need for us to work out staying arrangements!! I mean, does it get any nicer?? Yes! They picked us up from the airport, we had a great lunch then had our session (the sneaks literally blew me away!!! I’ll for sure be sharing the session with y’all soon!!), and we walked into their beautiful home they just built! Our guest rooms welcomed us with brownie brittle (Edward’s favorite!!!), white cheddar popcorn (my favorite!), a cute sign we can’t wait to hang in our future home, and a mug with “Future Mrs. Robinson” on it (and I’m literally sipping coffee out of it as I type this)!

We got to have our engagement session in beautiful West Palm Beach and ended at House of Refuge, and then spent the evening chatting, eating, and watching The Office!

I SO wanted to repay them somehow for their kindness, and when we were planning this I offered to do a session for them. It ended up being perfect because their anniversary was just days apart from our time with them! So I got to do a lifestyle anniversary session for them in their brand new home they just built that’s literally a DREAM. I’m talking shiplap everywhere, beautiful white walls, SO many windows for natural light, splashes of grey and blue (my favorite color palette for homes!) and I could go on and on. Edward and I told them not to be freaked out if they ever stay with us in the future and notice some similarities in decorating because we were obsessed with their home!

The day after our session after they made us a delicious breakfast, and then we did photos of these two around their house as they snuggled together- such a perfect kind of anniversary session! We even included their pup, Peanut who’s SO cute and fun!!

I’m so excited to share these two, not only because I love how these images turned out, but because these are two incredible people.

They’re the kind of people that make you even more excited for marriage and the journey together. After six years of marriage, they constantly laugh with each other, hold hands whenever they can, and encourage each other. They simply told us over and over, “Marriage is the best.” But they not only said it, but also live that. My dream is to one day host these two back in Greenville in the years ahead!!

So enjoy this in-home lifestyle anniversary session of some very special people!! We can’t wait to give these two a huge hug on our WEDDING DAY in September!!!
