I was so excited when Kayla reached out to me asking about wedding photography! And her and Dylan have an amazing story! Kayla and Dylan actually eloped the week before this celebration day in beautiful St. Lucia!!!! Does it get any more romantic? Her father flew out to join them and to walk her down the aisle, and their bond is so special. A week later, they had a celebration day filled with portraits and a reception, and I was so honored to get to photograph it!

Kayla and Dylan got ready at Kayla’s aunt & uncles house, and it was a dream to photograph there! Every room was filled with beautiful light, and the outside columns looked like a snapshot from Venice, Italy! It was a DREAM. Soon after, we headed to the South Carolina State Museum for a reception with friends and family!

Kayla is one of the sweetest, kindest girls you’ll meet. She has a constant smile and joy that rubs off on everyone that comes around her. Her family has been there for her during the recent passing of her mother, and they surrounded and uplifted her on this celebration day. Tears were shed out of missing her, yet also tears of joy, thankfulness, and love for these two. The emotional father-daughter dance had the room’s attention since the bond between this father and daughter was so strong and close. I honestly don’t have words to describe all the emotions felt for these two, since it was one of the most beautiful, emotional days I’ve ever photographed! But all I can say is I’m beyond thankful I was privileged with capturing it and being a part of it!

The day was so beautiful, and filled with Anthropologie bridesmaids’ dresses, lots of blush and navy, and breathtaking settings! I just can’t get enough of this Columbia, SC wedding, so view a LOT of my favorites below!! Kayla was a GORGEOUS bride!
