Haley & Dylan’s snowy southern wedding at Edinburgh West was a DREAM day!!! Haley is one of those girls you connect with instantly. She has the gift of making you feel loved moments after meeting her. On their wedding day, I saw her carrying a bunch of bags through the snow into the venue. I ran up to her and grabbed them saying “You should NOT be doing this!! Let others help you!” And she sweetly replied “Ok but I just feel bad asking others to do things for me!” That’s just the kind of person she is- selfless, even on her wedding day!
And Dylan is such a sweetheart!! I watched him lovingly support Haley and make sure the day was everything she had dreamed. These two truly are some of the kindest people you could ever meet!!
I was seeing snow in the forecast with a chance of rain as well, and was hoping things would end up perfect for their day. My goal is to make the photographic process as EASY for our couples as possible while capturing the joy of the day! I came up to Haley while she was in the makeup chair and explained with it being so cloudy, it would leave even less time after the ceremony for their portraits. It was also currently snowing like crazy, and if we did a first look she’d not only get a LOT more portraits with Dylan, but even some in the snow!!
She took a breath and quickly said, “Let’s do the first look! I trust you.” I called Kennedy from Edinburgh (they do an INCREDIBLE job managing this venue), and we adjusted our timelines to account for this quick change! We love working with vendors who are flexible and will do what it takes for couples to have the most perfect day!! And we all ended up being so grateful we adjusted things!
I didn’t realize this, but it was Haley’s dream to have wedding portraits in the snow!! She had been praying for snow on her wedding day, so we were able to get a LOT of portraits of these two as the snow was showering down! These are favorites for sure!!!
