2020 Meet the CRP Team!

We are SO excited for all the things 2020 has in store!! I want to introduce our wonderful team this year! These people are making exciting things happen!!

Last year we made a big step and hired 2 interns to help with weddings! And goodness, Michaela and Rachael made the year so much easier for us! They helped both Morgan, our incredible associate photographer, as well as myself! This year, we’ve grown even more and I am so grateful.

I truly feel so blessed. I could have never imagined when I started 7 years ago what this little business would bring- turns it it’s allowed me to build incredible relationships with other photographers! And they have the biggest hearts to help us serve our brides even better!! God has directed us through the past years, and I’m so thankful for how He’s lead!

Christa

You may have been following since the beginning, or maybe more recent! So let me start with introducing myself. I’m Christa, a huge fan of Chick-fil-A, burning candles, and believer in Jesus. I think every “hello” should come with a hug, and love anything preppy, southern, and sweet! It sounds cliche, but it’s true- I’m basically addicted to sugar.

Edward

I married Edward in September of 2018! Even though we have been in school together since pre-school, we didn’t start dating until senior year of college! We both graduated with a degree in Business, and tied the knot a year and a half later! Then we fixed up a little home (actually the one Edward grew up in!), grew our family by adopting our little Shih-Poo (Shih tzu/poodle mix) Maggie, and absolutely love married life! While Edward is not full-time with me, he helps me with every big decision, and listens to me chat about what’s going on with Christa Rene Photography probably too much! So I didn’t think I could pass over him while introducing the team!! He’s my biggest support, and I’m grateful for his help and guidance!!

Morgan | Associate

Morgan is continuing to photograph weddings under our brand and we are SO grateful for her!! Our brides ADORE her, and it allows us to serve even more amazing Christa Rene couples! She is finishing up her last semester as a teacher, which has given her incredible skills for walking our brides through their wedding day! When she’s not focusing on photography or teaching, you can find her stretched out on her couch at home catching up on The Bachelor and This is Us! She’s a world traveler, and Israel, China, and Iceland are a few of the many places she’s been! Morgan and I have been best friends for 7+ years, and she stood by my side on my wedding day! She’s a huge asset to our team!! I still walk our brides through the photography planning process, while she photographs them! Our new site (coming SO soon!) is going to share a LOT more about her!!

Michaela | Second-Shooter

Michaela and I first met when her now husband, Cale, gifted her a mentoring session with us a few years back (HOW SWEET!)! Since then she attended one of our workshops, and then BOOKED HER WEDDING WITH US! She’s a Christa Rene Bride, and she interned with us last year, and we couldn’t go this year without having her second-shoot again!! She loves puppies (her family has 3 shih tuzus!)! She’s become a close friend during the past months, and married Cale almost one year after Edward and I got married! We’ve loved chatting about newly wed things, and I’m so thankful for her! Wasn’t she a GORGEOUS bride??

Rachael | Second-Shooter

Rachael attended one of our workshops, then became a shooting intern last year! We’re SO happy we had her on board to second-shoot, and wanted to keep her this year as well!! She’s become a close friend, and the girl I always go to when I need to chat and have a taco date! She is energetic and SO sweet!! Thankfully, she obliged to coming along this year too, and will be working mostly with Morgan’s brides this year! She’s from Charleston and LOVES the beach! She’s a dog mom to Tippy, and has lived in Italy and Canada! She’s a big fan of The Office or Friends, has more plants than she can count, and her ideal Saturday morning when she’s not photographing a wedding is attending a local farmer’s market!

Mary Katherine | Second-Shooter

Mary Katherine is a new addition to the team, and we are SO excited to have her second-shoot! She helped us last year when we needed extra hands, and I’m impressed with her attentiveness to detail, organization, and kind spirit! It’s been a joy to plan with her for this year, and I can’t wait for some of our brides to meet her! She is an avid adventurer, and has been to Canada, Russia, France, and has a long bucket list of travel locations! She can often be found in a cozy cardigan sipping a caramel latte, or hiking with friends on a beautiful day!

Chris | Videographer

Chris is also a new addition to the team, and now we are implementing videography!! We’ve had SO many brides ask through the years if this is something we offer- well now we can say “YES!” Chris is offering videography for brides who book with us. Chris grew up in the NC mountains, lived abroad in Germany for a year, and loves anything outdoors or exploring! We can’t wait for him to work alongside us for brides who also choose video!

You’re all caught up with all the hands helping with CRP this year! I am so humbled that all of these people would be willing to be apart of this year!!
