This wedding gets a first for being the first wedding I’ve shot in the SNOW!! Emily & Brant’s Greenville, SC winter wedding was such a beautiful way to kick off 2017 weddings!

We’d been watching the weather closely all week, and let me remind you we live in Greenville, South Carolina where it was in the 60’s on Christmas! But a snow storm was coming, and we were watching it carefully! Needless to say, we got a LOT of snow! So we did all of the pictures and had the ceremony on the wedding day as planned, then had the reception the next day! And you know what? That was actually really neat! Not only becuase we got to celebrate over two days, but everything and everyone was so relaxed at the reception! And the Poinsett Club is such a gorgeous reception location!

Emily and Brant have a special place in my heart. Emily and my sister Stephanie (who was a maid of honor! Look for the short brunette who looks like me ;)) have been close friends ever since high school, and Emily is one of the sweetest people I’ve met! And I’ve gotten to know her sweet family & Brant even more the past year since I’m dating Emily’s brother! Emily and Brant are one of the kindest, most caring couples you’ll meet! Even if they’re a pretty close competition when we play Play 9 during game nights!

Their first look was so sweet! When Brant turned after Emily called his name, he let out a big “WHOO HOO!!!” after he saw his gorgeous bride! They braved the cold and the wind, and you’d never tell in pictures that we were all shivering! In fact, these are some of my all time favorites and filled with so much joy!! Brant is really tall (no really… he was on the Clemson football team back in college), so he’d wrap his bride up with his jacket and a hug to block the cold and wind in-between shots! It was so sweet!

Congratulations Brant and Emily! It was an honor to get to photograph your wedding, and I’m so thankful for you two and love you so much!
