Abbe & Bruce | Greer, SC Engagement Session

A little over 3 years ago, I walked into my first ever college class, and my stomach sunk when the instructor wanted everyone to sit in the row with the letter of their last name (partly because I was late, and also because that meant I couldn’t sit with my friend). I headed to the “M” row, and there I met Abbe. Even though we only sat together for a week, her kindness had struck me hard, and I was so grateful we had become friends. 

I can’t believe a few years later, she would ask me to photograph her wedding! We snuck in an engagement session when Bruce was in town, and had the most gorgeous weather we’ve had all year. We beheld a beautiful sunset by the lake, and this couple is perfect in every way. 

It’s impossible for a photographer to force true happiness at a moment, so I can only just smile looking back at their joy and laughter. Their kindness is so overwhelming, and I’m thrilled to be photographing their Virginia wedding July 4th!! 

They also make me feel super short!! I may need a little stool to carry around for their wedding! 😉
