Even before the fall workshop last November, I knew I’d love to have another one in the Spring! Then, after actually having our first weddings workshop, I REALLY knew it needed to happen!! I reached out to my sweet vendor friend Katie Williams, shared my idea with her of having her host the styled shoot, and let her run with any ideas! Truth be told, I am NOT a wedding planner! While I wish I was better gifted with design, I’ve accepted it’s better to leave this up to the professionals!
Before and after the styled shoot, most of the day was spent with incredible, motivated, women who invested in themselves to grow their wedding photography businesses! I can’t go on about how amazing these ladies are!! I was truly honored that they chose to spend the day with me at The Barn at Sitton Hill Farm as we dove into all things about booking and shooting weddings!
They each deserve a special shout out, but I’ll summarize it with this: These girls are amazing, talented, and beautiful inside and out!! They quickly befriended each other, and I loved getting to share, enjoy dinner with them, and photograph a styled shoot with them!! We started off with snacks, coffee, and just getting to know each other before sitting and chatting about the technical side of wedding photography. We covered things like editing, posing, image workflow, and a run through of timing a wedding day! After a snack/coffee/La Croix break, we jumped into business where we looked at purpose behind what we do, finding our ideal client, how to reach them and offer an incredible experience! We then sat down together for dinner before heading outside to photograph a BEAUTIFUL styled shoot together (and that post is coming! The theme was European Affair so get excited! We also had an INCREDIBLE vendor team I’ll be sharing all about!)! We came back inside to cover off-camera flash before lots of hugs goodbye (my least favorite part!)!
