Christi & Tyler | Lake Jocassee Engagement Session

Christi and I have been friends since high school!! We’ve been there for each other in our highest and lowest points, and she’s that constant, steady friend you know will always be there. She was a maid of honor in my wedding, my roommate until I got married, and is my best friend! So what an HONOR it was to get to take her engagement photos!!!

We’ve been through SO many seasons together. From me taking her senior pictures at the end of high school (my first senior session!), to me talking her ear off about everything, from breakups, to dating, to all the hardships of high school and college, and SO much more in between- we’ve been through so much together. There were times she truly was one of my only friends. And sharing those seasons was special, but being engaged during the same time was such a gift. BUT I know being married at the same time and sharing the season of both being newlyweds will be the best! I photographed this session about a week before my wedding, and I can’t think of a better way to have ended work for a break before getting married!

Her and Tyler started officially dating graduation day from their senior year of HIGH SCHOOL! So yes! They’re high school sweethearts!!! Through the past several years, some of their favorite time together has been spent at the lake! Tyler’s family has a boat, and they take advantage of it as much as possible! So of course when locations where being discussed, we couldn’t pass up doing their engagement session in such a special place to them!

This is one of those times I truly wish I were better with words to express how much these two mean to me. But let’s just say they’re an incredible couple, they are going to accomplish BIG things, they truly make each other better, and I just can’t wait for the day to arrive when they become husband and wife!!!
