I could go on and on about this beautiful wedding at Zen in downtown Greenville! Brittany and Alex are one of those couples you just are drawn to! They has a way of making you feel so welcomed and like an instant friend. They are so genuine, so it’s hard not to instantly love them! Brittany has become a friend during this process, and I’m so grateful for her!!
They waited 8 years for their big day- and it was worth the wait!! It was absolutely perfect! After the sparkler exit when Brittany hugged me, and said she couldn’t think of one thing that could have gone better! And I couldn’t agree more!!! The day was a beautiful Saturday downtown, with a gentle breeze. The vendor team was excellent (we LOVE working with Katie Williams Events!). The bridal party was SO joyful and focused on making this day about Brittany and Alex. Their families treated me as if I was also apart of their family. And Brittany and Alex were so wonderful- they were so calm, and excited to get to start their lives together married!
After a few portraits, I was going to go move something so I stopped them and said, “Just pause and take a breath, and just take this all in!” They stopped, and I saw them do just that. And what a gift it is to capture this day so they really can relive it!! It goes by SO FAST. I tell people our wedding felt like a fast forwarded movie! I already can’t wait for these two to get back from their honeymoon and see them for their album appointment so we can design their dream album full of the memories from this day!!
Their daughter Sophia stole the show and was so sweet and perfect!! I already knew she was incredible to photograph (view their engagement session HERE! We HAD to take some with Sophia!! She is precious!)! But she let her parents celebrate their wedding day on her 5th birthday, and was such an angel!!
There were so many special moments throughout this day! Brittany shared it was important to have a beautiful photo of Alex walking Sophia down the aisle- so they had this when he’ll one day walk her down the aisle on her wedding day! They also surprised Brittany’s parents with their first dance song to share a dance to!! How sweet is that?
Brittany & Alex, I’ll be honest it’s a little bittersweet for me that your day is done! BUT I’m so grateful I got to be apart of it and capture the joy you all shared with each other, your daughter, your friends, and family!
